Rhine is living in a world where girls have 30 years of lifespan and boys have 25 years of lifespan due to modern science and their genetic time bomb. In addition, geneticists are searching for a miracle antidote to restore humanity, crowded orphanages are flooding the country, crime and poverty are on the rise, and young girls are being kidnapped and sold as polygamous brides.
Rhine also was kidnapped and had to marry Linden, who was helplessly in love with her. Even though she was brought in to bear Linden, a child, along with other girls, he still provides her with the wealth and illusions she never expected. However, Rhine quickly discovers that things are not as they seem in her new husband’s strange world.
An eccentric doctor hoards corpses in the basement of her husband’s house with the goal of finding an antidote. Despite her fears about her fellow sister’s wives, Rhine feels compelled to reach out to her twin brother to assure him that she is alive and safe. Is Rhine going to be able to escape in time?
