Fablehaven is a story about thirteen-year-old Kendra and his younger brother Seth, who is eleven years old. The story begins when their parents decide to leave their children with their grandfather as they are going on a Scandinavian cruise. However, their parents were completely unaware of the fact that Grandpa Sorenson was the caretaker of Fablehaven.
Fablehaven is the literal heaven for the magical creatures, including witches, fairies, satyrs, and imps, in the woods near his home. These magical creatures were living peacefully in the woods of Fablehaven thanks to the ancient rules that were basically created to bring peace among them.
The story takes an interesting turn when Kendra and Seth come to know about this place. Since Kendra was a kind and cautious person, she did not create any trouble while exploring and satisfying her curiosity about the place. On the other, Seth, being a boisterous and rash kid, breaks the rules intentionally, which results in unleashing the evils. Now, it is their mission to use their imagination and courage to restore the peace of the Fablehaven.
