In addition to that, he also has to face a host of mythological enemies who are doing their best and are determined to stop him from accomplishing his mission.
The story also takes a lot of turns and twists, and to accomplish his mission, Percy is required to come to terms with his unknown father and an Oracle that has already given him a warning about the betrayal of one of his friends.
