The ruins of Gorlan portray the story of a young boy named Will who lived in a small village. In the beginning, Baron is always scared of the rangers as they are always covered in long black clocks and have shadowy ways. The villagers seem to believe that the rangers possess some dark powers and energies that make them invisible from the world.
However, Will later realizes that the rangers are strong warriors and serve as the protectors of the kingdom. During the choosing ceremony, all of Will’s friends were selected for training to become rangers, except Will, who was only 15 years old and apparently too young for the selection.
However, a ranger named Holt offers Will to be his apprentice and gives him the chance to fulfill his father’s wish to be a great warrior. During his training, Will comes to know about the large battle that is brewing by the exiled Morgarath, who is gathering his forces to attack the kingdom.
