A young girl named Lena in Portugal, Maine, is very much looking forward to getting the cure and start living a risk-free and predictable life. Lena has seen the failed love story of her mother in her childhood and deeply observes the destruction that love has caused in her mother’s life.

The story begins to get more interesting as Lena meets enigmatic Alex just ninety-five days before the beginning of her treatment. Alex is a young boy from the Wilds who lives under the government’s radar. The question is, what will be the end of the story if the main characters, Lena and Alex, decide to betray their government by doing the most unthinkable act? i.e., falling in love.
